Valentine's Rose Day 2014

“I would rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.”

Ring a ring o ROSES !
When head over heels in love, you want everything in the world for your beloved. 7 February is the start of the long Valentine’s week. Known as the ROSE DAY, it is a treasure trove day for the florists as well because they are your cupids for the day .
Roses have always symbolized love in the most beautiful way. A single rose , or a complete bouquet solves all love issues. And because this day marks the beginning of Valentine’s week, remember, the first impression is the last impression. Make the best of this day so that your sweetheart feels like the most special person on this planet.

A rose is not just a flower, it is a complete dictionary of meanings.
Red roses: Widely known as the lover’s rose. There is not a romantic day without these hallmark of love. They symbolize passion, courage, respect and ofcourse love.

Pink roses: While red roses convey a strong statement of love, pink roses impart a gentler meaning. Pink roses usually represent grace, elegance. The significance of shades of pink roses range from admiration to grace and elegance.

Orange rose: Warm yet vibrant, they particularly exemplify desire and enthusiasm. The fiery color is conjured up with passionate romantic thoughts.
Being the color made by the combination of red and yellow, it marks a powerful bridge between friendship and love.

Yellow Roses: The sun-filled yellow color represents friendship, joy and caring. Also, at times , it is used to convey appreciation and gladness.

Lavender Roses: “Love at first sight” is what they signify. Lavender has the potential to capture a lover’s imagination. They are the option for expressing sincere love and appreciation. No doubt they are the perfect symbol of love and enchantment.

White roses: The bridal roses symbolize purity and innocence. They account for love, respect and hope.

As much as the color matters, so does the number of roses . Pick your number:

A Single Rose
– Conveys love at First Sight and I Still Love You.

A pair of two Roses – Stands for Mutual Love and Affection, also Marry Me.

Three Roses – Traditionally a one month Anniversary Gift .

Ah! Six Roses – Mainly states , need to be Loved or Cherished, Infatuation.

Nano , Nine Roses – We’ll be together forever.

Plans for the day:

Plant a rose in your backyard so you can directly take your spouse to see them grow .

Leaving the humor apart, lets get you ready for the rose day.
A rose plant , according to me, would do the best! Giving your beloved a pot of flowers would make them cherish it for lifetime, as they can last with regular watering and sunshine.

There is no feeling like waking up next to exquisite flowers. Send your spouse a bouquet full of flowers which will make them feel on the top of the world.

A lot of things have found a new way out. A wonderful suggestion would be , paper flowers. The flowers would never dry up, and they can adorn your living area forever.

But is rose day all about gifting roses? It clearly is not. Bakeries have done wonders in all these years. A chocolate mousse cake, with a rose as an embellishment would take care of the appetite as well. We have captured plethora ideas for you lovebirds!

Not to act harsh on one's pockets , one shall have to cut down costs. Why don’t you pick up a perfect rose cupcake? Ah! It will solve two purposes at one time. Pick yours.

For people who are strangled in their busy lives. Don’t miss this out, pick up the wine you would like to share with your partner. Pair it up with flowers. Also, scented candles would add to the ambiance. A little effort would pave your way to love and happiness in your lives!
